Characteristics
Esophageal stent features unique memory capability and super elasticity beside its excellent biological compatibility and corrosion resistance. It turns into a softened status in an ice water bath at 0-10centigrade and can therefore change its shape to a certain degree. The stent is then placed in an introducer with a diameter less than 24Fr. ( Diameter8mm) and pushed out above 33centigrade. It returns to its original shape immediately and a continuous mild radial expanding force exerting on the inner wall of the esophagus is generated so that an unobstructed way at the formally stricture segment is resumed.

The stent owns remarkable super elasticity at body temperature which enables it to undulate, keeping pace with the normal creeping of the esophagus, so that no discomfort could be felt whilst the esophagus remains unobstructed.
Both ends of the stent are constructed with small arcs which would do no harm to the wall of the esophagus. The flared ends opening closely stick to the wall of the esophagus to prevent moving. Covered stent can also prohibit the inner growth of tumors and fistula. It is easy to be operated and its effects are definete.

Application
Caution: Applicable for expansion cure of esophagus, cardia and stoma stenosis.
Note: Esophageal and cardia cancers unfit for operations, stoma stenosis after operation which shows no sign of effects notwithstanding a multiple expansions, recurrent tumors, and esophageal fistula.
